FRANKSTON MASTER JEWELLER
A decorated Frankston master jeweller has received a gem of an award. Anny’s Manufacturing Jewellers owner Harry Ozkoch was recently presented with the prestigious Jewellers Association of Australia’s Australasian People’s Choice Award. The competition is the Australian jewellery industry’s longest running design competition held in Sydney. Mr Ozkoch said he was overjoyed to fly to Sydney early this year with his wife Anny to receive the award.
“We all were over the moon, honestly it felt like we were walking on the clouds,” Mr Ozkoch said.
“This is such an enormous accomplishment for us.We always told our customers that our quality and craftsmanship is impeccable and this award just adds even more credibility to Anny’s.”
The winning piece, made with white and ultra-rare Australian Argyle pink diamonds set in platinum and 18kt yellow gold, was displayed at The Rocks in Sydney for public view before the couple brought it back home to Frankston.
Mr Ozkoch’s daughter and Anny’s jeweller Claudia Ozkoch said it was a highlight of her father’s 41 year career in the industry.
“He has lived and breathed jewellery since he was 16,” she said.
“Throughout his decorated career, he has won numerous other awards, however, he himself acknowledges the enormity of this recent accomplishment. It really is huge.”
Mr Ozkoch is now eligible to enter the International Jewellery Design Excellence Award in Hong Kong next year. Anny’s Jewellers is a boutique family run jewellery store that has specialised in creating quality custom-made jewellery for 30 years in Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.
